A new district

Between 6,000 and 7,000 residential units are to be built on 118 hectares. In addition, there will be 4,000 to 5,000 jobs, an education and community centre, two primary schools, at least 14 daycare centres and just as many social facilities. Several mobility hubs, around 28 hectares of public green spaces and open areas with numerous playgrounds, as well as a large activity park and a swimming pool – that’s the new Oberbillwerder district at a glance.

Mobility

Environmentally friendly modes of transport are promoted in Oberbillwerder. Buses and suburban trains stop right outside the door and provide good connections. Safe footpaths and cycle paths contribute to the ‘Active City’ principle.
