Competitions
Creative competition
The significance of public space and the quality of the built environment are undisputed in our society. When it comes to large-scale construction projects, it goes without saying that this quality can best be achieved and maintained by holding a competition for ideas to find the best solution for urban planning, architectural, structural or artistic tasks. Accordingly, there is a guideline for planning competitions in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
"Competitions challenge creative forces in a competitive comparison and promote innovative and sustainable solutions for future-oriented environmental design. Citizens can be involved in determining the objectives of the competition."
RPW Directive 2015
