Winners of the Green Loop and Activity Park competition

In a single-phase, non-open, open-space planning competition, planning offices were invited to submit detailed concepts for the design of the Green Loop and the activity park in Oberbillwerder. The approximately 160,000 m³ area will form a multi-purpose park with continuous water access, which will connect the neighbourhoods in an attractive way and also provide drainage for the district. The submitted designs were exhibited publicly on 10 July 2023 before the jury made its decision. Citizens had the opportunity to express their opinions and make suggestions in a questionnaire. The findings from the public participation process were presented to the jury the following day.
